Do you love quilting? Sewing? Or do you appreciate lovely crafty things? If so, this post is for you! Me personally, I’d love to be able to quilt and sew… But I’m a wishful thinker at this stage. Sure I can knock up a simple pattern but I’m drawing on my year 7 sewing class skills. Yes, that’s right. I’m from the generation where sewing was still a compulsory class for girls in high school… and you know what? I’m glad. Now I’m older, I get quite a bit of pleasure being able to knock up the odd bag or two. Or at least hem my own trousers! But sourcing nice, reasonably priced fabrics has always been a challenge. I don’t know about you, but often Spotlight and Lincraft is a little lacking. So you can imagine my delight when I discovered KimoYES – oh, and this is not a sponsored post. I’m just letting you know about one of my favourite shops!
KimoYES is a shop that specialises in vintage Japanese fabrics. If you’ve been following my blog, you know that I’ve lived in Japan. It’s difficult to visit Japan and not fall in love with their beautiful fabrics, especially their kimonos. I dare you to look at these pictures and not love them too.
KimoYES is located Phillip in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. But don’t worry, if you don’t live here, you can buy from KimoYES online.
