Last Monday we called Yass Valley Council and gave them the tag numbers on the sheep. They contacted their owner, who then called us. The sheep were collected that afternoon. The farmer who lost his sheep (and let’s not refer to him as Little Bo Peep as that would be offensive) was very apologetic and thanked us multiple times for taking care of them. He’s not quite sure how they got out, or how they made it up to our property. We told him we didn’t mind at all and that our daughter loved having three little visitors. Now they’ve gone, our little paddock is rather quiet… Might have to invest in some of our own! The best thing about this sheep adventure, is that we’ve now met all our neighbours in the surrounding farms.
